Patch voor Anvil Saga pakt een hele hoop problemen aan
Het fatsoenlijk testen van videogames is op het gehele ontwikkelspectrum een groot probleem. Grote ontwikkelaars lijken er steeds vaker onvoldoende in te willen investeren, terwijl het indie-segment geld en mankracht mist om hun spellen grondig door te nemen.
Gamers die het indie-titels kopen op dag een, vooral in Early Access, weten dus dat ze vaak rekening moeten houden met bugs, hetgeen natuurlijk vervelend is. Maar steeds vaker zien we dat die indie-teams er bij launch goed voor gaan zitten, om gemeldde problemen zo spoedig mogelijk op te lossen. Zo ook bij Anvil Saga.
Deze game verscheen afgelopen dinsdag pas, maar kreeg vanmorgen al zijn tweede update, die flink wat problemen aanspreekt en een game breaking bug opgelost. De patch notes zijn als volgt:
''IMPORTANT: To ensure the saving bug is fixed, locate to USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Pirozhok Std_\Anvil Saga and delete the whole folder with cache before launching the updated version.
If you have already switched to the beta-branch with a hotfix, opt out of the beta-testing program before installing the update.
